Modifying Dashboards

This section provides instructions on how to modify a dashboard and resize, re-arrange, or edit charts within dashboard.

Resizing Charts in a Dashboard

You can increase or decrease the size of your charts in your dashboard.

To resize your chart to upscale or downscale, follow these steps.

  1. Hover your cursor over the arrow head found at the bottom right corner of the chart box until you see the double-headed arrow.

  1. Use the double-headed arrow to increase or decrease the size of the chart by clicking and dragging your mouse (inward to reduce the size and outward to increase the size).

 You see a pink shadow when the resize process is active.

Re-Arranging Charts in a Dashboard

You can move your charts around your dashboard to change the order in which they appear.

To re-arrange charts in your dashboard, follow these steps.

  1. Click on anywhere inside the chart box, hold, and drag and drop the chart to another place in the dashboard.

Renaming Your Dashboard Title

There are two ways to modify the Dashboard Title: from the Dashboards List and from within the Dashboard itself.

Modifying the Dashboard Title From the Dashboards List

To modify the Dashboard Title from the Dashboards List, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Dashboards List by clicking on Dashboards (1) on the left pane.
  2. Click the ellipsis symbol (2) represented by three dots on the top right corner of your dashboard box.
  3. Select Rename (3) from the options that display.

  1. In the Edit Title dialog box that appears, enter the new dashboard title in the field provided.
  2. Click Save.

  1. After clicking Save, you are directed back to the Dashboards List where the new title is reflected.

Modifying the Dashboard Title From Within the Dashboard

To modify the Dashboard Title from within the Dashboard, follow these steps.

  1. Click on the Dashboard Title and when the text box and cursor appear, the title can be edited.

  1. Enter the new title (1) and click away from the text box.
    A prompt (2) notifies you that the dashboard title has been successfully updated.

Accessing Your Chart (to Edit) from Your Dashboard

You can modify or update the existing data of a particular chart in your dashboard.

IMPORTANT: Based on your permissions you may be able to view and edit a chart that you have not created. It is recommended that you SAVE AS another name if you intend to make changes to the chart, so you can preserve the original version.

To edit chart data, follow these steps.

  1. Click on the ellipsis icon (1) represented by three dots on the top right corner of a chart box.
  2. Select Edit (2) from the drop-down options.

  1. You are directed to the Analysis page in KPIs, Segmentation, Funnels, etc. modules, where you can edit and update the metrics, events, or properties of this particular chart, table, or report.

Saving a Chart to Your Dashboard

  1. After editing the chart data of a particular chart, you can either SAVE it to the current chart (1) or SAVE AS another new chart (2).

 Clicking SAVE displays Save Chart dialog box where you save the changes made to the current chart you are working on. The new and updated title and data will overwrite the title and data of the current chart.

  1. Enter a new Chart Title, which will overwrite the old Chart Title, or retain the current Chart Title in the Title field.
  2. Click Save.

 Clicking SAVE AS displays the Save Chart dialog box where you save the new or updated data in a new chart, thus entering a new Chart Title, which you can save in the same dashboard or in a different dashboard. This option will ensure that the data in the original chart is not overwritten, in case you are not the chart's creator.

  1. Enter a Chart Title in the field provided.
  2. Select a Dashboard from the drop-down options.
  3. After clicking Save Changes, a prompt displays, informing you that your chart has been successfully saved.
